I just want to make sure I understand this correctly. I want to apply for PR, so I would do this under the Skilled Migrant Category (I'm on the LTSSL). So I would complete the EOI and then the ITA. Is this right? I have a job offer, so is it unrealistic to think that I could be in NZ by Sept/Oct? I'm sure these have been answered many times before, but I'm so confused! :uhoh

Thanks!

Sounds about right.

Your application will be fast tracked if you have a job offer, with others on the forum have gone from ITA to PR in under 2 months so it is definitely possible to be in NZ by Sept/Oct.

What you need to do is make sure that you have all documentation etc that is needed to be submitted with the ITA e.g. medicals, police certificates etc ready as soon as possible so that as soon as you receive your ITA you are ready to send it back.

Agree with Ian, it is possible but depends how quickly you get your documentation together. I took the same path as you're contemplating, with a job offer, etc. You can look at my signature for timing. The length of the period between my EOI acceptance and returning the ITA was fully my responsibility...it took time to gather paperwork. Immigration NZ was very quick about EOI and ITA approvals. My ITA was approved in one day, though it took a couple of weeks for payment processing and issuing of blue stickers (PR visa stickers in passport). The dates do include postal time to and from London.

I am from the US.

As long as you stay on tyop of it I think it can be done, look at ours we managed.... just
The thing that almost held us up was needing more information from OH employer which took time to get, we didn't read everything as we should of done so as long as you read everything you have you should be OK also once you have a case officer then you have someone to get on to & that's worth it as again we left it for a week then called & found there was a delay but she pushed us up the queue as she knew we had a start date to stick to
Good luck
