Although a garage is not top of our list of priorities for a property it is an added extra. How much would it be to build a sinle garage - preferably with internal access? A rough guide would do.

Most of the houses here have garages, very few don't!!

But if you do go for it, just had a look at some kitset manufacturers and they were ranging from 4-8k. And that wouldn't give you internal access, that is for a stand alone one.

You can also get stand alone garages from Trademe... but you need to sort out the logistics of making your own concrete pad, then moving it on site.

Thanks for the info. Cost wise it seems to be my estimamte was about right. Hopefully we can find the property we want with a garage but if not we do have some options. :yes
