Has anyone tried to swap their Hong Kong driving license for a New Zealand driving license? Hong Kong is not on the "list" but, logically, it seems that it should be. There are a lot more similarities between driving in HK and NZ than, for instance, there are between driving in the US and NZ (and the US is on the "list"). I am resigned to having to take the exams but thought I would ask...

If HK not on the list then more likely you will need to take both written and practical test. I know some asian countries license holder still have to take those 2 tests, regardless of the similarity of the driving skills.
