For those of us still in the UK...catch a glimpse of New Zealand on Channel 5 at 7:30PM this Thursday.
The programme is called Rough Guide to Mountains and half of the 30 minute programme is set in NZ, sampling "extreme sports"

Thanks, will watch it - although just watching NZ on the telly is beginning to get a bit frustrating - want to be and do NZ now!!!

Cheers.
not sure if others have mentioned it in other threads but there are a couple of housey type programs on Real estate TV (sky channel 273). One called Property rescue at 7.00, the other called location location location at 10.30. Sky+'s series link has led to us having hours of dreaming, mind you some of the decor in NZ houses appears to be the sort of thing my granny would have chosen when she was my age
Spookily tomorrow's location location location is about a UK family who have just moved to NZ.

The best one I came across was "Billy Connolly's World Tour Of New Zealand", amusingly.

Do you know if any of these channels can be viewed online???
I found Real estate TV but it is not working/buffering, and all we got to see about NZ so far is the Piha lifeguard show and Filth Files on Reality Zone.

Oh, I like Piha Rescue - we stayed fairly near there, and keep recognizing bits of cliff-face etc.!

Here is the footage on C5 account on YouTube:
The mountains of New Zealand have been made legendary thanks to their starring role as some of the majestic scenery in the Lord of the Rings trilogy. Toby finds Queenstown ever so slightly boring - but it's a great launch pad for exploring the landscape that surrounds it. Unlike Julia, Toby hopes to do this exerting the least amount of energy possible - meaning it won't be the most environmentally friendly trip.
