Hi to everyone in this forum!
I have been contemplating to moving to NZ and was an avid fan of this forum. I have seen some posts from Filipinos and I guess it would be better for me to finally sign in here and get pieces of advice from you guys (I mean all of you, not just Filipinos). From the posts I have read, I believe everyone would be willing to help me move on with my contemplation...
So as a start off question, may I ask if you guys hired an immigration agent to help you fill out your EOI's (or with the whole immigration process)?
Thanks in advance!

Hi babykiel :) and Welcome to the forum...
There's been quite a bit of discussion regarding agents on this forum - I'll find a few links for you.
I think most would agree that the EOI and PR application processes are straightforward and can easily be done without an agent. However, there are some circumstances where an agent may be needed and this is what you need to decide. Have you done the points calculator on the NZIS website yet?
If you are fine on points and are healthy, have good English (which you appear to have by your post :nice1 ) and don't have a criminal past :D and have the skills NZ needs I don't see why your application shouldn't be straightforward.
Hope that helps... I'm off to find links...

Hi Moorf! Thanks for the reply!
Regarding your questions, yes I have done the points calculation and I got 115 points. I believe I am healthy since I have not been confined and had annual physical check-ups. Fairly good English (maybe...:o and thanks for your comment on my english proficiency!;) ). Never had a criminal past... and a CPA here in my country (I hope NZ would recognize it).
Well, with the above info, I am still hesitating to submit my EOI with only 115 points and no job offer yet.. (although I have seen some who were selected with the same situation as mine).
BTW, thanks for the links and I have seen your photo with the ENZ shirt! Hope I'm as lucky as the shirt... roaming around NZ....:roll

Hi benandclare!
Just finished browsing the links Moorf gave me and finally made me decide not to hire an agent.
I already had my EOI ready for submission (with only 115 points and no job offer:( ) and maybe I just need to go over it again. If I have any issue, I know you guys will be my angel!;)
Thanks again!

Yup but hey flatten the Ph "f" sound and use a hard "P" sound. I love it though.

Nice one Steve! It's P & F deficiency... comes with our language... we don't have the letter F in our alphabet... :)
