I was mentioning to my brother that I would miss the british newspapers and would try to get someone to post me one maybe once a month,
but he told me that when he was in Australia there was a local british newspaper produced once a week with all news and even the football.
Does New Zealand produce a similar paper?
I will probably be moving to the Christchurch area. ;)

I'm sure someone else will know the definitive answer, but at least I can say that I have seen the international version of at least one UK newspaper on sale in NZ.

Sorry, wasn't interested in it enough to bother having a closer look.
I believe that it was the Daily Express?

There are international versions of the Mail, Express and Telegraph available in NZ, I think, but they are all very expensive and very out-of-date by the time they are on sale here. I have a vague idea that they are weekly summaries of the papers but can't confirm that. I have no idea whether they have any football coverage as (a) we've never bought those papers and (b) one of the many things we are so glad to get away from is the incessant football coverage in the UK.
The best way to keep up with any UK news (sport or otherwise) is, as others have said, on-line via the newspapers' websites or the BBC website. Anything else will be out-of-date in comparision.
I believe there's soccer coverage on Sky TV here.

There is a weekly international version of the three papers mentioned above - but they're about $6 each, and quite out of date. If you're a bit news-crazy like me (and have bbc.co.uk/news as your home page) you will have seen it all first.
For footie results, I use the bbc, and then Times or other papers online for the footie bitchin' ....

I'm pretty certain in addition to the international express and others there is a British football paper. Full of premiership coverage so can't say I've ever read it
