I have heard NZ can be quite humid so I think the easiest route is to give in to my hairs curly nature :D

Since I moved to NZ, my hair has become far more wavy and curly. To straighten it, even with GHDs, takes over an hour - so is something I do very rarely.
I find that straightening isn't as popular here, many of my kiwi friends don't style their hair at all.

I suppose i could learn to live without my GREAT GHDs while in NZ as my hair is kinda wavey, I just never given it a chance and also when i blow dry because ive got a bob I look like mushroom head its just soooo thick :wah i just cant do anything with it, with GHDs they make the bob look good:D

I love my hair straightener. Sadly, not a GHD, but I bought it in NZ and it works great here. Yes my hair has gotten a lot more curly in NZ, but I've learned if I don't wash it every day, it doesn't get as frizzy. Also, it looks pretty good if I just straighten the front a bit and leave the curls at the back.
Anyways, I took my straightener to Canada as it said it could do 110-220 volts, but it would not heat up enough in Canada. Good thing it was winter and dry, so I wasn't too frizzy.
BTW, I work for an engineering company called GHD and I keep thinking they're going to give us GHD's for Christmas, but sadly it hasn't happened yet.
