Having just completed my second set of medicals (first were used for work permit, but timed out for ITA), my doc found a problem which she wants me to have further investigative tests. Of course, I'm getting myself worked up and thinking of all possible outcomes. If these tests aren't conclusive and drag on for more than 3 months, will I have to start all over again, or should I not bother if I've got something medically wrong with me?

Not sure but I would think that the medicals expire 3 months after they have been completed. Others may correct me on this. What extra tests do you need? They found abnormalities on my daughters x-rays and she needed extra TB tests (never had TB in her life!!) Had the tests, got the all clear and then got the medicals signed off.

Have you told your doctor about the time pressure? There might be a way to hurry things along.

The only way I can speed things up is to go private for the tests and I don't belong to any private health care fund so its going to be an expensive time! My doctor is very laid back and says that its more important to find out what's wrong with me than worry about paperwork for emigration!
