well folks, we have arrived. All lovely and sunny...probably won't last, the kids are baking coming from Feb temps in UK!

Starting on the whole big house/school/bank search.

Well, as everuone else is in the first few days, we have been very busy. The fiorst day we really just drove round areas trying to get an idea of places, checked out a few schools. Got mobile phones sorted etc. All v easy - vodaphone, pop it in and away you go.

Second day did banking, mooched round town and went to the supermarket, checked out the rental papers. Called a few places, yesterday went to see 3 schools we liked the look of for my 5 year old. Liked Cashmere in Khandallah the best though Kilbernie in Hatitaitai a close second. Saw a rental just across the road from Cashmere school and put in a application for it, just found out we go it! Yay! Now we need to find some bits and pieces to fill it with! Anyone have any ideas for furntiure rentals or anything?

Slowly slowy, we will get there. Oh and OH went in to see the new boss yesterday and had fun but that's not important right?!

Wellington is really nice. We come from SW England, medium sized town and we certainly don't feel dwarfed here. It has a really nice friendly feel to it though the one way streets are a nightmare to drive through when you don't know the next right turn is a NO RIGHT TURN!!! Been up the cable car to the botanic hardens, going to do some more exploring over the weekend, do the tourist thing!
