of food, mainly baby foods, off the clothes. My sister's top loader not done good job and now I am back home, trying to remove old stains. Tried napisan in my front loader and now they are outside drying in "suppose to be" sun but cloudy at moment to sunbleach it hopefully! Off to shopping this afternoon, can you recommend other way to remove stubborn stains? Thanks!

I use normal washing up liquid directly onto the stains, let it soak in for a few mins, then start the machine off, and I also use napisan inwash powder as well, and that generally does it, as well as a good old bit of sun bleaching...

I just wash whatever it is about 3 times & most of the time it comes out, worked so far. I'm always halfway through ironing & find a stain so it's back in the wash again :wah

My favorite stain removal information site:
http://209.85.173.104/search?q=cache:pm_yUw4hTP4J:www.well.com/~bkoball/stain_removal.pdf+sunscreen+stain+removal&hl=en&ct=clnk&cd=10&gl=nz&client=firefox-a
Another good site:
http://www.realsimple.com/realsimple/browse/clean/0,21771,3040400000-Issue_Date-desc-61-1-25,00.html
Regarding the specific issue, Real Simple says, "Remove Food Stains with Toothpaste I have a two-year-old son who loves juicy fruits and cheesy pizza but who objects strongly to using a bib. Toothpaste has effectively removed most stains — even grape juice — from his clothes."
Cheers :cheers

I have a bleach pen that I use to remove stains from white clothes or white bits of pattern clothes....bought in Countdown and very good.
Bicarb of soda also very good on alot of stains on coloured clothes where you don't want them to get bleached. I usually put dry bicarb directly onto stain then put item in water so it fizzed in spot you want stain removing from.
Some stains also come out if you soak them in very cold water...treat the same way you would treat blood stains....seems to work well for chocolate etc. Then I usually rub washing liquid (we don't use powder as I'm allergic) directly into stain after soak before washing in machine 40 degrees.

I use Vanish in wash stain remover liquid in all my washes and also pre-treat any stains. I think the only thing I haven't successfully removed is some blood stains on one of DS's bed sheets - but then I waited over a week before washing it! :o Well it was buried at the bottom of the laundry basket!
HTH & good luck!

I once bought some Vanish which was like on a deoderant stick - and found that better than the liquid kind - it really has been a life saviour - wish we could get it here.
