We will (hopefully) moving late April/early May and are going to be travelling fairly light. However we will have a few (maybe 8-10 tea chest sized boxes) bits and pieces to ship. No furniture, so no need for a container. Anyone out there had any experience of shipping that amount of stuff and who can comment on costs/suitable firms etc. Just looking for a ball park figure at this stage, before getting hard quotes from companies.

Hi Iain,

We have just done the very same thing. We ended up with 20 cartons (incl. 1 bike carton, 1 picture, 1 flat pack table) and went for PSS at £620.

I'm not sure how to link the thread, but if you look for a fairly recent one called "Shipping small amounts" (or something similar), then there were some v useful ideas from other forum members on there.

Hope this helps.

Haydee
by the way, the service from PSS has been very good so far
