Hi
just wondering about the climate in Waikato region as compared to Uk
Also how would this area compare to Canterbury region... both winter and summer if anyone can help, thanks very much:laugh

Only been here 8 months but so far miles better climate than UK, admittedly this summer was one of the best on record so may have been spoilt :D
Have had a bit of a cold snap last week but you get wall to wall sunshine and crystal clear blue skies .
When not cold can also get some awesome cloud formations and when those mountains get their blanket of snow on ...............:clap
Cant comment about Waikato sorry

It's warmer, sunnier and rainier if that makes sense. Although there has been a long drought this summer and everything went very brown. The nights are cold in winter, but it warms up nicely in the day. I love the climate, it compares very favourably to rainy, misty Cornwall that I left behind. It's also not very windy most of the time.
