When we arrive I will be working as a nurse at Chch hospital but OH will be my 'slave' until he gets a job. All his life he has worked in a factory as a paint sparyer in the motor industry so has no other experience. He would love to work outdoors more and is a keen gardener and loves the wildlife. I was wondering what sort of work (part time or full time) is available in the Chch area and roughly how much do they pay? Ideally he would love not to work but if we want a really nice property we will have to get a small mortgage so a part-time job at least would be needed. Most of the job sites we have looked at seem to be geared towards skilled jobs which don't suit my OH.

Had a quick look at local paper for Rangiora area Nicky and 3 jobs around gardening and landscaping (in fact only jobs this week :) ).. They say qualifications and experience would be a advantage and pay seems to be around $16 per hour..

Yeah I wanted to not work as well and spend my days getting my handicap down but Clare put a stop to that :p

When I was looking there were a couple of gardening / landscaping jobs each week in the local paper and expect there will be when you get here in Sept as thats when I was looking last year :yes
