Is anyone planning to go to the Scallop Festival (http://www.scallopfestival.co.nz/) this year?

Tickets went on sale today (http://www.iticket.co.nz/eventfinder.asp?action=searchresults&event_name=scallop+festival&genre_id=) - last year they sold out in 6 days, so be quick if you want to go! And if you are planning to go let me know - we can meet up.

i would love to go to the scallop festival, prefer them to chocolate.....(now that could be called blasphemous)........anyway maybe next year we hopefully will be there for it.....have some scallops for me please....:clap

I go every year with a group of friends! We usually stay at my best friend's family bach over in Cooks Beach and come across on the ferry.
We eat and drink ourselves silly - I absolutely love scallops, and it's my birthday weekend too, so even more reason to celebrate!

I can't remember much about the scallops - but I drank an excessive amount of wine with Jojo and her husband, danced all over Whitianga and lost my voice before midnight, which many there will say is a good thing!
