My wife and I will be living in a rental in Welly for some weeks in July and August before our container arrives. The rental may be unfurnished. Does anyone have a few things we might borrow to make that time easier? A few that come to mind:
-a medium size bed or futon and perhaps bedding to fit
-a clothes iron & ironing board
-a couple pots and pans, food containers, can opener, tea kettle, assorted other kitchen things
-a chair or two
-a stereo or clock radio

We can lend you a double bed, the duvet may be a bit light though as it's a summer one but your welcome to try it with 2 pillows. Can also do a couple of saucepans & I think we may have a 2nd can opener, have a Mickey Mouse alarm clock if you want to borrow that, couple of garden chairs & I could see what else I could put together. I don't have a spair iron & board though or kettle but you can pick up a cheap kettle & and iron I'm sure.
Just give me a bit of time for preperation & delivery as by then we will have our hands busy with a new born
Don't know how we would have coped without someone coming to our rescue so happy to help as much as we can

We are happy to help as well. I can loan you some bedding, cutlery, plates, saucepans and cups. I also have a camping kettle you could put on the stove, some towels, etc.

Just a thought - would you consider packing your iron?

I too have brand new queen size mattress. loads of bedding, pillow etc. the other stuff we bought here when we first arrived is packed separate as I leant them to some friends when they arrived.

Saucepans, frying pan, Cutlery, serving utensils, casserole dishes, chopping boards, tuppleware type containers, etc.

I brought my own pillow on the flight came in handylater

How many are there of you, just the 2?
