Cheap campervan hire

I found some great links on the forum for campervan hire and wondered if there was anyone else with some suggestions for cheap-ish hire.
We'd probably want to hire one for about a month (?) Is the price on the web a fixed price or are NZ business' such as vehicle hire firms open to negotiate?

Can't really help with an answer... but we saw loads of the 'Wicked' mini-campers bobbing around last month, they look fab sprayed up with their individual theme.
Best one we saw was 'Jelly Beans' plastered all over it... our little one loved it, asking "please can we get one" :D

I scoured loads of sights and got quotes from all over the place - best one for us came from ..

Please don't be jealous, I'm going to be living in a mobile home, with a stressed husband and an understandably nervous (clingy) 10 year old for a whole month. Hhhhmmmm, now I come to think of it.... :exit :laugh

We used these. There were various deals going when we booked, including a good reduction for a longish term rental. The people are nice, and the owner even phoned us part-way through our visit, just to ask if everything was going okay. http://www.spaceships.tv/new-zealand-campervan-hire/

Via this website I found out this little known company www.wendekreisen.co.nz and have seen their campervans in yard and compare the prices with other company, this company came out cheaper and in very good condition! So we hired this 6-berth camperven from them for 2 weeks last december. I recommend this little german company, they based in christchurch and auckland, mean you can do one-way trip from chch to akl or other ways.
