Help!! I was wondering how long it's taken for NZQA to take money from your bank accounts once you've sent applications off. I sent my application for assessment of Quals last Saturday. Since then I've lost my bank card and the bank have now told me that there's one transaction that was made on it - the amount near enough matches the NZQA fee once converted but they would have had to have done it straight away after receiving my application and I've not been notified that it's arrived. The more unpleasant option is that someone's got hold of my card and has been using it which means lots of hassle to try to get money back. :( I can't find out yet about what the transaction is so in the meantime can anyone shed any light on the NZQA bit? Thanks.

Yes, they do that straight away.

Thanks. I've also just checked my bank and yes it was NZQA - took them 5 days to take my money!! Let's just hope they process my application as fast. :laugh

Yes, they take money the very day or the next day. I got the confirmation after good two months that my application has been received and the receipt for the fee was enclosed. After that, they took 3 more months to evaluate the Qualifications. So good luck
