does anyone know the medical criteria as i just had a full one for work and would like to see if i could cross check it to see if i need to improve on anything eg weight, fitness bmi etc and to make sure my "constants" fit ok?

i think its just the weight/bmi that you could really check - there's a thread somewhere on here about the conditions imposed by NZIS :)

You can look at the medical forms on the NZIS website which will give you an idea of what to expect.

(If you have BMIs under 35, waist under 102cm (men) and 88cm (women) you shouldn't have to do the extra set of blood tests. )
