Has anyone else got to this stage in the process? I seem to have developed word blindness or something as I'm beginning to question everything twice. Ok, maybe even more than that and my usually highly organised brain is slowly turning to jelly.

We've applied our EOI, it's been selected and we're waiting to hear what happens next. I'm wondering if I'd done this correctly as we've applied under skills migrant, due to our qualifications, even though our skills aren't listed. :uhoh Please someone tell me I've done the right thing and haven't wasted all those hours planning and collating and that I'm not actually having a breakdown :exit

I'm also thinking, and again please give guidance if you can, that because I don't as yet have a job offer, and my 'skill' isn't on the list that I might be able to get a job that isn't anything to do with my qualification and my experience. Or is that complete tosh??

Time to find myself a dark corner and a damp tea towel for my head I think:yes :laugh

Reached this stage that quickly - you should have no problems coping with the rest of it then! Good luck - it's a waiting game - but so worth it.

Hello Genie!
Congratulations on getting this far until reaching the 'no sense stage' :laugh
In the SMC and without a job offer you will be able to do what you want when you receive PR :nice1
We found that with your skills not on any shortage list the process was so much easier. You won't have to prove that your skills and/or work experience are ligit. If you had enough points to be selected then you are on the right track.
So come out of that dark corner, will you?

Oh so it's not just me then?!:clap Thanks for that Pebbles, I found the corner quite a nice place to be actually. :laugh

I genuinely hadn't realised I wouldn't be limited to using my qualifications as a counsellor. And as much as I really, really want to continue working in this field I can get an admin job in the meantime.

I can do that...gizza job :)

Know how youre feeling, we've all been there at some stage, but as Lockstock says, its definetly worth it!

Good luck with rest of your plans.
