Hi,
We are selling a property in Rotorua and need to sell asap.So if anyone is thinking of buying in that area you can look at our house on Trade Me ,number 151763006.It's a four bed ,one bath house with a sleep-out attached to the garage, nice sized garden and right over the road is the Red wood Forest-lovely for walks and mountain biking! I can recommend a good school and pre-school if required and it is also close to the town centre for shopping and attractions.

Thanks for reading,
Claire

Hi Owens Clan. Do not live near Rotorua i'm afraid but if its not too personal, just wondered why you were selling up and moving back?

Hi,
Well it's a combination of things really,my family in the UK (two are really sick)is a big pull back but also the wages my hubby is on is terrible! He is an electrician and his wage just doesn't cut it.
The place and people are great and our kids and myself setteled very well but hubby just isn't happy ,the wages and work ethic is just not what he wants .We promised ourselves that if one wasn't happy then we would come back,so that is what we are doing!

Thanx for sharing your experiences with us so honestly Claire, much appreciated !

Sorry to hear things haven't quite worked out as you and your family had hoped, but I think it's a good decision that everybody has to be happy to make it work. At least you'll never have to regret not trying and who knows what the future may bring, right ?

Best of luck with the sale of the house (lovely house by the way !) and the move back !

Cheers,
Silver

Forgot to say I'm sorry to hear some of your family are not well. It will surely be a comfort, both for them and for you, to have you there to support them. I hope it all works out okay.

Cheers,
Silver

Thanks Claire. Your honesty is very appreciate. Funny - we said the same that if one of us was unhappy we'd return. Thing is we are both unhappy but our timescale isnt over yet.

Your reasons will hit home to lots of people and I hope you get sold shortly so you can get back to good old UK and your family and friends. Yes at least you will be there in person to support them.

Please post again and let us know how you get on.

Maybe your mind is made up Claire, but may i ask what hubby is earning, as i have a good friend who is also a sparky and would be interested to know if their is a difference in wage. If you wish not to post publicly, then PM me. If the wage doesn't add up, then i do know of openings further north that might be of help. Obviously the need to move would have to be there.

Good luck Eddie and Clare, I know how Eddie was excited about the move when I met him and hid dad at the NW meets up in Warrington (seems sooooo long ago now).

As Kim says it may be a case of different job, different perspective?

But having sick family members is a huge pull for anyone. Whichever path you choose, good luck.

Steve
