At some point in the future, when my iPod breaks down and the price off iPhones has come down and the disk capacity has increased, I might be tempted by one. So long as it doesn't interfere with my plans to buy a boat :)

Un, correct me if I'm wrong but isn't it still essentially a phone? Albeit it with some sexyish add-ons bolstered by clever marketing. Sorry, techno heathen strikes again...

It's a phone and an audio/video player and a web browser and a games machine. It's also somewhat of an open platform, so third-party developers can add applications to it. It IS a neat gadget, just hella expensive at the moment. And you just know you'll buy one and 2 months later they'll bring out another version with an improved spec :)

Does the camera really matter though? I don't think that I have ever used the camera on my phone as it just seems like a gimmick that takes up space to me!

I was tempted to buy one when it came out in the UK but couldn't justify the price and also knew we would be coming out here. I may get one later but only in a couple of years when they are cheaper!

well it depends on the person, I like being able to take a nice picture when I'm out and about. If your not bothered its quite a nice option.

i got one and wouldnt be without it. wi fi full internet is brilliant. i do most of my forum posts on it. got to say a roaming bill of £588 was a bit steep for internet use in lanzorote tho!
