Hi,

This might be a silly question but I am currently filling in an online EOI form (to check points), have entered my qualification pre assessment and it's showed up the points, I went on to complete the work experience section for which I'm hoping to gain points and for some reason it won't save my dates.
Is this normal?
If I do eventually get to save my dates does the system automatically calculate the amount of time I'm trying to claim for and add those to my exisiting total like the other sections?
Not sure it makes a difference but the experience I'm claiming for is related to my current role but not experience gained in NZ or on any shortage lists.

Can anyway offer advice or shed light?

Ok, have now managed to save my work experience details on online EOI (I was obviously having one of those days) and totalling up my experience it comes to 6 years worth. This with my qualifications puts me at the 100 mark.:)

Another question though - how have others proven work experience when asked to?
I am currently phoning around asking previous line managers/companies to provide me with a written reference to confirm dates of employment, job title and brief description of my job (finding this very difficult by the way, some employers no longer have records of my work - hence the line managers).
Is this enough or do I need other proof?

Thanks for ANY help.

I'm sure others who have done this already will be along in a while to confirm, but from what I've read elsewhere, I seem to remember that, besides what you're already doing, some people have shown their tax records - whether that's necessary/desirable or not, I don't know. Good luck with everything you're sorting out.:nice1

You can submit pay slips too to show work hours etc.
YOu might want to look at past points selections as it seems that you need more than 100 points to have a realistic chance of being selected. Can you up your points by getting a job offer?

And someone has just posted on another thread how they showed the record of payments to their pension scheme to prove their work record with companies which have since gone out of business.

Thanks for that, I have managed to dig out most of my payslips so hopefully it will all go hand in hand.
Both my partner and myself plan to apply for jobs before we submit the EOI to boost points - I think today I was just so excited to have at least reached the 100 point mark as I had not previously added up my relevant work experience and was surprised at the total number of years I had.

Right, forward planning, on with sending out the letter.
Thanks everyone.
