Just had an email from NZIS saying we have had our PR approved in principle and to send our passports in for stamping once I have returned from my job hunting trip.
After months of waiting we can't believe how fast things have happened in the last week. From posting our ITA to getting approval has taken 9 days!

Congrats.
Presumably you applied without a job offer and have had a telephone interview?
Cheers

How about this for rapid then ..........
We got our PR approved last December. You get 6 months to send in your passports and pay the migrant levy.
I'm feeling particularly 'chippa' about our house sale (when it happens) so I thought I'd send away my migrant levy and get the passports back so there won't be any hold ups.
On Wednesday I e-mailed my credit card details to my case officer (she already had the passports). This morning the post lady knocks on the door with a recorded delivery envelope.
Wallahhhhhhhh !!!!!! Our passports (mine and kids) stamped with PR thingies and RRVs etc ...... 48 hours !!!!!!! We were told to allow 4 weeks.
Good news eh.

Wow Diny that is quick.
We've just got the e mail approved in principle!
We are getting Linda's passport renewed tomorrow and then sending it monday.
Looking forward to seeing those stickers!
Hope you get your house sorted.

Thanks for all the congrats everyone. :nice1
We too were told 4 weeks for the passports to be stamped, and as I'm going over to Christchurch on the 25th Feb we didn't send them in with the application.
Still got the house to sell so I guess there's no rush. Be nice to have them in our hands though.
Anyone know of someone who wants to buy a house in prime Essex commuter county?

Had two letters from NZIS this morning
One confirming our applications had been received and been allocated to a queue manager. :?
The second confirming PR has been approved in principle :P
Time for more :cheers
