I sent my application for full assessment in March and it arrived NZ on 17th March 2008. I received a confirmation email on 27th March. On 3rd April, an evaluator contacted me for more information but he did not ask for any papers just an explanation and we exchanged a few emails on the same day then he said everything was clear.
Since then I haven't heard from NZQA! should I wait? should I contact them? what should I do/say? Please advice.
Thanks a ton

Hi
I think i would drop him an email or give the office a call, say that youre just touching base and enquire how things are going, just for peace of mind.
Good luck and let us know how you go!

Similar question - how long after date of sending does it normally take NZQA to acknowledge they have received paperwork?

Get in touch.
This was our situation. When I rang they seemed to think I should have had a response, so re-forwarded what I had never received the first time very quickly.
They were nice enough people when I called them.

oh :no the evaluator told me that he had sent a verification request to my faculty. This is a very bad news, you can't imagine how much communications are really terrible in a third world country. He refused to give me any information about when it was sent so I can check with my faculty.
It may take my faculty ages to reply and I really mean it ages, what should I do?

Get in touch with your faculty, and see if you can persuade somebody there to look out for the NZIS communication (or find it if it's already arrived) and take it through their system for you. If you make contact, there's a chance of getting someone in their office to think of you as a pleasant human being they will do things for, then that letter isn't just one more troublesome piece of paper among thousands.

Thank you for your reply. The evaluator told me that the communication was confidential and that I should not try to interfere. I'm totally confused
It seems to be the end of the NZ dream :no

well possibly a delay but not the end - I'm sure if you've kept copies of any email/letter communication that you have sent and send a note in about the issues you are having with NZQA you will be able to extend your submission deadline... don't lose hope!

You wouldn't be 'interfering' if you just phone or write and politely, tell them what you're trying to do and the urgency, and ask someone to watch out for the incoming query and answer it promptly. That is not at all the same as trying to stand at the man's shoulder while he writes his reply!
