Hi all,

I've received all the necessary info regarding the job offer but not quite in time for the last draw! Probably just as well tho as got quite a few questions regarding the EOI. As follows.....

A10 – Passport – Mine runs out April '10, OH Nov '09...do we need more time on it if applying for PR?

A12 – Taxation No. – Is this tax code?
Social Security No. – Is this National Insurance No.?

F3a - Is this qualification included on the List of Recognised Qualifications?
Or has an Occupational Registration Body assessed your qualification as comparable to a New Zealand qualification that is on the List of Recognised Qualifications?

I’ve put yes c/o registration with Nursing Council of New Zealand.

What is the level assessed by NZQA?

It hasn’t been assessed by the NZQA but it is a diploma so I’ve put 5 – Diploma.

F4a Has your qualification been assessed by the New Zealand Qualifications Authority?

No

F5a What are the reference number, type and level assessed by NZQA?

Left blank as not assessed...

F6a - What New Zealand qualification was your qualification assessed as being comparable to?

Again, it's not been assessed by the NZQA but I am a Registered Nurse so do I put that in the box or leave blank?

F8 – Do you have a recognised basic New Zealand Qualification?

Is this yes? I’m registered in New Zealand tho I didn't study there.

F10 – Details of NZ Qual.

I’ve put in UK university details?

T3 – Family members

I don't need to include OH here do I as he's in the next part of the application?

Hope this scrawl makes sense!? Just copied n pasted the bits I needed clarification on and made notes of queries. I know some of the questions are really easy but I just want to make sure I've not misinterpreted them or anything silly! Got a bit of time to make sure we get everything right before the next draw....want to make sure it's all done properly!

Hope you don't think I'm completely dense.....any info, reassurance would be gratefully received!

Thanx

Sue n Kev

A10 - think you should be okay
A12 put national insurance in BOTH

not sure about the registration/quals stuff, I'll leave that to a medical type ;)

T3 as far as I know just need to add any immediate family who may at some point want to use you as family sponsors (other than anyone already included in the application)

it is a terrible form to fill in, it's unclear and unhelpful in places as its universally designed for people from multiple countries..don't wory about asking

Thanks Sue and Kev for starting this thread. These were the exact same questions I was stuck on and wanting to make sure there weren't any mistakes. I should be in the next draw with ya! :clap

Thanks Nickydwuk for your response. It was pretty much what I was planning on putting down, but it's nice to get confirmation that you're on the right track.

Just out of curiosity, what are you putting down for G1 - Please indicate why you believe this work experience should be recognized.

Thanks!

I never claimed points for work experience but I still filled out that part of the form. They did say they would disregard it but I put something like ' I have worked in this role for xxx years. It is a job that can only be carried out by someone who has completed 3 years of training and gained a professional qualification'. As I didn't claim this not sure if this helps.

I contacted immigration and they incormed me I would have to go to NZQA to get my qualification assessed if I wished to claim for it for points. Not sure why we have have to (RMN) and social workers do not. However my husband has job offer so I am not using it for the EOI just for ease and cost issues at present.

I put something along the lines of 'I've had 18 years experiences working with adults with LD, 12 of which have been as a Registered Nurse. The role comprises of...........' and included a little bit about the role. Haven't submitted anything yet though so not sure really what they're after? If I recall, it mentioned something about the job description?

Anyway, thanx again guys :cheers

all we put on our form was a copy of the job description as on the shortage list and said "this role matches up with <job desc> as follows" which seemed to be alright :)
