I understand that Westpac offer special rates etc... for government employees such as nurses & teachers. They have sent me a brochure about it but it does not go into specifics. has anyone (teachers/nurses/police) got any more info on any deals they offer? Do they have special mortgage rates or lower interst on loans, higher interest on savings, no bank charges, free credit cards etc... Any info will help. I have a savings account opened with them but have not yet got round to opening a current account. Still to decide who to go with. :yes

Sorry, can't help you with Westpac but can say that ASB offer the same sort of deals for employees of the DHBs.

Certainly they offer 0.5 per cent off the standard mortgage rate and other deals regarding bank charges etc.

Not sure if the deals are DHB specific though?
