Is anyone else on this forum going through Washington DC?
We submitted my husband's application for PR (Family/Partnership category) to NZ Embassy in Washington DC on 15th April. On 24th April we received back all the original documents we had sent in with his application and a letter telling us the name of his CO.
To date we haven't heard another word from his CO.
Can anyone tell us how long they take to process an application for PR under the Partnership category?

Thanks in advance,

Suzanne. :)

We've submitted our visa applications to the DC embassy.

And we're waiting. They signed for the envelope last Wed.

Thanks for your reply Liz... Looks like we are both waiting to hear from Washington DC... We hope we hear something this week, maybe you will to.

Cheers,

Suzanne.

I hope we'll hear!

I'm not so much worried about getting our visas, but more for how long they will be valid for, as my permit will be dependant on the grades I achieve, and therefore will have to be renewed several times. I just hope my husband gets a 1+ year work visa so we won't have to pay tax on our items.

Maybe this week will be our lucky week Liz.

Good luck with getting your visas. You will be in New Zealand before us, we plan on getting there early September.

guess What? I called to ask for our passport #s (filling out paperwork for the pet transportation company) and they said they couldn't give them to us, because they didn't have them. They're on their way back to us with our visas!!!!!!
