Does anyone know what travelling over Mangere Bridge is like in the rush hour, we are planning on living in the titirangi area, but my M in L job will be in Mangere, so she will be tavelling South each day. Anyone know whats its like? Would it be easier as she will be travelling against the CBD rush hour traffic?

Any ideas would be great.

Thanks Tracy

You'll join the bulk of the traffic heading into town as Titirangi and the Waitak's in general are a choice "lifestyle" type area. Mangere bridge is a bit of a bottleneck but you should be ok heading South. They're planning on building a new bridge in the near future and the upgrade of the motorway around there is well under way.

Have a look at the Transit site (http://www.transit.govt.nz/projects/mhc/).

My son lives in Titirangi, and I asked him this question. He says this.

The main problem is getting from Titirangi along Hillsborough Rd to the start of the South Western motorway. That can take 45mins depending on time you leave, school traffic etc. Coming home can be fun too…

Ask for more specific details about where they need to be by when (to and from work) and I can probably get more specific…

Over to you.:D
