I'll do anything to appear with Amanda Lamb... just don't let the Mrs know :D
Any chance of C4 delaying them dates by a couple of months, bit too early for our plans :)

Bother.
6 months to early. I'll be in the middle of a little stint somewhere rather hot, dusty and dangerous.
Good luck to whoever gets filmed!

Because I have a curious mind: does one take part in such a show merely for fun and fame or is there some sort of financial reward involved? Where is the incentive?

Pebbles, if you were to ask my OH I'm sure the incentive is Amanda Lamb!:yes :laugh

I think the attraction is that someone else does the legwork and research of the local property market and gives you a choice of homes round about your budget. Often they give a choice of homes that you'd never have have considered. Quite often it's also a reality check for the prospective buyer!

Anyway, seriously, our name has gone forward, could be quite exciting.

I applied but didn't realise you need to be in the UK in October. We fly to Chch in September. That counts us out then. :no

Good luck all concerned, a great incentive if one was needed.....
another good angle would be for a programme to find out how people who have already moved here have fared, the differences, problems, benefits etc.
I'm sure that would be of interest to people too.

We'd probably qualify on timing, but we're going to rent for a year or so till we get a feel for the place and wether we want to stay in Auckland.

Er, um, eeeek!
I emailed and got an application form, so we are in with a shout.......
Haven't told Mr Granite yet tho :exit
I have a feeling he'll be less inclined!
Lets see what happens!
We have a good idea where and what we want to buy, but let them surprise us, if we are successful... It may even help us with job finding....
Did anyone else get an email from NZIS today telling them of employers and agencies? Mibbie thats standard when you're in the process of submitting your LOI?
Hmmmmmmmmmmm
