To our absolute delight, our work visas arrived this morning!! :D
So to anyone in the Essex area who may have heard a good 30 minutes or so of delighted squeals - now you know where it came from!!
In case it is of help to anyone, we applied under the General (non Skills Shortage) Work Visa as Paul got a job offer, and I applied under the Partnership category.
Despite some initial hiccups with the medicals (my Gamma GT liver enzyme was a teensy bit elevated even after repeat testing, so I had to see a gastroenterologist and have a liver scan done - which came back completely normal as the doctor expected), we were able to lodge our applications in person at NZ House on the 2nd May. Happily they came in the post this morning!!
We fly out to Tauranga on the 12th June and the three cats fly 2 days later. Now for the mad dash to get everything ready to leave in 4 weeks ... :exit
Thank you so much to everyone on these forums. Though we haven't posted much, the sharing of all of your experiences and advice have been invaluable to us!!
See you in New Zealand!!!
