Hi all! Haven't written in a while. EOI has been accepted :nice1 and we are getting our documents ready to submit for PR. Here is our question:

Has anyone on the list used "live scan" to send their fingerprints to NZ???? It is a bit more expensive, but we are worried about getting our application out before the April 4th changes and think our info won't be back from the FBI in time. We'd like to especially here from and Americans out there that have used this method. Thanks all!

Hello,
I camevery close to using a live scan... but didn't do it in the end. I've been fingerprinted two times...for FBI checks once as part of an adoption. Each time took months to get back, 6 months and 3.5 months. If you have a deadline, I would choose a live scan!

Hi Junnifer - thanks for your reply! I haven't heard back from NZ and I don't know if they will accept these types of scans. It's driving me crazy! Did you actually use it for immigration packet or do you know if anyone else has used it??

Thanks again!

No we did not use it. The reason we almost used it is because we could not get good prints off several fingers ( I am a painter and in Chemicals often... even using protective hand wear...it had an effect! ) anyhow... we finally got prints good enough to try. Why don't you call the Oregon marketing people and talk to them about it.?
