Just reading through the NZQA application. On page 4, it mentions that certified copies of birth certificate or passport is acceptable.
Can I ask, is ID required for the NZQA? A bit of a pain for us as the local police are reluctant to certify our SA passports as they are not certain the original document is valid (despite it having my Irish work visa in it) and need to go to the SA embassy if ID is required which is a bit of a journey and time for me.
Thanks

Hey Chaz,
We were advise not to have docs certified by the Police. Apparently there is so much corruption in SAPS that NZIS no longer accept documents certified by them - scary stuff. I had all mine done at my bank.
Good luck.

Thanks. The issue we have is that we are resident in Ireland. The local police here dont want to certify any foreign docs as they, perhaps correctly, feel that they cannot vouch for the authenticity of the original document in the first place.
That said, if I take my SA passport, they should certify it as it is good enough to have my Irish Visa in it that allows me to live and work in Ireland.

Oops - missed that bit. Well good luck anyway!
