Woohooo I got another blue sticker in my passport today !!!

$140 for all five of us.

Went to the Manukau branch ,saw the guy at the desk ,waited 5 minutes and then was ushered through. 20 minutes later 5 lovely new blue stickers with shiny silver bits were put in our passports.

Icemaiden, the blue stickers are the visa's in your passport.

Yes........next stop Citizenship if we want it .

They told me $460 per Adult and $300 and something for kids.

Need to find out if we got in on time for the 3 years of being here or if we have to wait for the five years.

- need to sort out what to do about ours - we can't apply till November - but the two eldest lads passports expire in Sept - need to look into whats the easyiest (and cheapest!!) way to sort them

We got our IRRV back in Jan and its our understanding that we missed out on the 3 year citizenship.

However, we had quite a short time frame from application to arrival, so those that might have taken longer might just scrape by for the 3 years. i was thinking about this the other day, does this mean they will now have 2 years where very few people are entitled to citizenship?

If thats the case, it might be that waiting times, for those that can still apply for citizenship, shorten.
