Anyone arranged their own shipping to NZ? We have been offered a cheap deal which would get the container to the port in NZ. How do you get the customs and MAF sorted.

Hi Ian, my sister and her family DIYed there household goods. They had a very concise list of items for MAF prepared at Chch end, but didn't need it. MAF didn't ask for it, just waved them through in effect.

It worked out cheaper for them financially, but was a heck of a strain on them both physically and mentally. Good luck with your shipping :)
