I finally submitted my EOI with 205 points with a job offer. From the looks of it, it won't be before Jan 2009 that I will get my blue stickers....man thats a long wait!! Whats the fastest you have heard to blue stickers...the regular way?? Looking for happy stories amidst the sad immigration procedures!! ;-)

Hello gslinger!
Ah come on, it is not all sad! :roll
And time is only relative ...
It would not be good if someone would be standing at the street corner handing out NZ residency permits for free. I personally think that the time it took gave me plenty opportunity to think things through thoroughly. No regrets :laugh
Good luck!

With all those points, a job offer and being here already you shouldn't have long to wait at all. Best of luck:nice1

Hi there, I think Lockstock is right - a job offer and those points - you'll be hearing from NZIS in no time!

As you are applying in NZ and NZIS won't see any need for a rush, they may well take a long time i.e. there is no need to fast track you.
From others on this forum the average for applying in NZ seems to be around 2 months (although this may of course be longer now?)
For us it took 7 months so you may be waiting for a while yet. One thing though, if you've got any reason to speed up the process then definitely get in touch with them, we did and got our PR the very next day so well worth doing.

I have been told it could be upto 56 days for the ITA and then 6 to 9 months before the PR is processed, provided everything is in order!! But, given the fact my work visa only took 20 days instead of the 30 to 60 days they quoted, I am keeping my hopes high.
