Just called the UK number for 'outside' information. Waited through 7 minutes of useless info before I could speak to someone.

Explained that we had a EOI in and that we had faxed a Offer of Employment last week. She said that it was way too early to be expecting a call just yet and that I would hear from them 'in the future' and that they were very busy. So much for me speaking to a CO to discuss my NZQA stuff. Seems I just need to wait.

She asked when I was starting work, I indicated August, she said 'plenty of time left' and that was that.

They dont seem to consider that we need to know what types of flights to book and leaving it to last minute doesnt help. When do we schedule movers to collect our stuff? Etc etc?

My stress levels are going through the roof - not good.

I can only sympathise...
We don't have a firm date yet, so compared to your situation, I really should try and be a bit more patient.

I would call them again next week and ask them again.

Best of luck!

Can understand how you feel. Our EOI was selected in April and we haven't heard yet if we have been successful. David starts his job on the 13th August.
Have been told today that we should have an answer by the end of the week.

I was supposed to start work on the 26th April, then 12th May and now deferred to 26th May. CO doesn't necessarily answer questions when asked, but does respond. I will be very surprised to get visas before next week. Part of the problem was that the SAP in Pretoria "lost" my clearance certificate and every time we phoned and asked "it was waiting to be signed". Eventually after much pushing (and about 3 hours of phone calls), they found it lead to Inspector Goosen and there the trail ended, so they ended up printing another one, but that cost us 2 weeks of waiting "patiently"

Hope for the best and expect the worst :roll

Apart from my NZQA which was DHLed yesterday, we have all the required police clearances (Ireland and SA) as well as birth certs etc. The issue that we might face is that some documents will expire in the coming weeks / months and need to submit these asap.

A question I have:

If a document expires at the end of May, but is submitted to NZIS during May, does the document expire while in their care or is it 'as seen' at the time?

Lets assume the NZQA takes X time and I submit all the other documents for the ITA - is that even possible or is it all at once and nothing else?

Hi Chaz,
When a document expires while already in the hands of INZ then you are fine.
ITA should be handed in complete though I think you may ask for an extension...

All your documentation has to be complete for the ITA. I tried to see if they would take everything except my SA police cert so that they could send my medical off to the assesor in NZ, but it's all or nothing.

Depends which doc. is expiring. Most of those issues are covered in their information packs.

Yay! Got an email from someone in London querying my work experience. I have indicated 10+ years, but they can only account for 4 years and 9 months. So need to give him my work experience ..... finally, at least I can speak to someone.

Excellent Chaz. At least you now have a contact. Always makes things easier.

Yep. Hoping I can get some momentum going so that the plans can start to be sorted and less risk of my current documents expiring.

Ive sent the return email to him and asked if I can pose some questions to him that I need answered.
