Yep for me would happily live with that level of income as would give us the financial cushion we need and allow for some savings to be built up :)

$90k would be OK for a family, especially if it was from 2 incomes of $45k. For one income of $90k it would be doable but more difficult!

For one income below $90k we probably wouldn't have moved out here.

"Couple, Happily".

If we can be happy on 50K or 70K, would be happier on 90K :D. I agree with James though, better to be on 45Kx2 than 1 income of 90.

Now, I've voted family - happily, but I need to qualify that we have no mortgage at all. If we had a mortgage, it would be family- in massive debt and very unhappy.

I would dream of $90k all to myself.... /sigh :)

We have a fairly largish mortgage at the moment and to add on top crippling diesel bills (weekly fill ups :uhoh ) plus 3 kids with bottomless stomachs :o

So it would be a definite struggle to live on that but would be happy to try to make it work out here.

If it was just me then yes probably, with reservations. As a combined salary for two working professionals, I speet at yor paltry $90K!

Family, big debt, but not as massive as in UK, very happy.

3 kids (who dont seem too keen to be going flatting at ALL!!)
dog (who seems to be an expensive pleasure!)

HUGE mortgage - well actually 2 huge mortgages......but lets not go there...

2 cars

*sigh*

We buy everything we can off Trade Me and nothing at the supermarket unless it is on special.
Definitely nothing out of season.....
And have cut back considerably on alcohol.... :-(

So ... happily? No way.
ah well....

Oh, now you have me curious. I am single and live on about $30k. Have to watch things a bit but otherwise there's no major issues.
The $50k thread I voted "happily", not long before I will be earning that and life will be quite nice.
$90k, oh my goodness, I would be living the life of (relative) luxury.

So, what reservations could a single person have about living on $90k? It's a doddle surely!
