Hello all,

My friend is coming over in June, arriving in Auckland and wanting to 'bus' it as close to the Bay as she can get...HELP!

I have heard there is a bus that goes the distance...any suggestions, names of companies etc

Also, they are wanting to hire a campervan when they are here as they are with us for a week, then off around south island for 3 weeks, then back up to auckland..would it be cheaper to hire a camper from auckland...drive here and keep for a month....OR bus it here, hire from hawkes bay, bring back to hawkes bay and bus it to airport??

Another bus option is http://www.nakedbus.com (http://www.nakedbus.com/). Generally cheaper at the last minute than Intercity. Definitely cheaper if you get one of their $1 fares!
