I am posting this on behalf of a friend.
Do any of you have a property in the home country which is unoccupied? A friend of mine is planning to migrate to NZ (His PR was granted last yr). He has an unoccupied property in the home country and will be paying the loan installments even after migration. His worry is if he declares it to IRD, will IRD be asking him to pay tax on it?
