bit strange to get the hang of finding them to start with but then there are some excellent 360degree shots of fantastic places. I'm drooling:D

I hear google earth is coming to NZ for their street by street photos soon. I'm must go and mow my front lawn! :D

That might explain something then. About 3 months ago there was a car with Google logo on the side, sat on various streets over the course of a week in our estate.....and the car had a big 'thing' sticking out the top. We did wonder if there was some GIS/remote sensing thing going on because the equipment looked familiar, but we're rather out of touch so not entirely sure. Unfortunately every time I saw the vehicle it ws empty so couldn't be nosey and ask.
