Hi all,
I have booked myself on a flight to NZ to attend an IT Job expo, details can be found at www.hiringit.co.nz . It’s a government backed job expo designed to bring employers and IT workers together. So i hope to return with a job offer under my belt. It would be nice to meet up with some other IT persons in the same boat.
After that i will go exploring round the various areas within commuting distance of Auckland so find a suitable area to settle in, so if anyone can recommend any areas that would suit a family.??

I really hope it goes well for anyone going, but I will say please don't pin your hopes on this, it has taken two weeks of being here to stir anything up and frankly I think it would take a few more weeks yet to secure a post where an employer is willing to work with me to get a work visa.

I really wish you well and hope to here great tales of gaining employment, for me I will keep plugging away, they are not getting rid of me that easily!
