Hi all

Anyone out there with hints for finding a job in IT management and project management profession. I am 47 and managing a team of solution architects, consultant / business analysts and project managers at present.

Is Wellington good for this kind of role? Which recruitment houses are good for IT placements.

Yep Wellington's good for that area. Gen-i are always on the lookout for good people. I have a couple of contacts there. Try joining wellies.org.nz (site was down just now) for some contacts as well.

If you are looking for IT or consulting work in Wellington I would reccomend getting in touch with Helen at Real Recruitment.

She was easily the best recruitment agent my OH registered with. :yes

She actively networked her contacts rather than just suggesting to put him forward for the jobs she had on her books (which is pretty much what the other agents did).

6 weeks in my OH now has a great job (with great pay!), and has made some solid contacts for the future.
