Got a mail from prospective employer, forwarded me the mail from CO, indicating that they didnt think the offer was sustainable.
Surely the CO doesnt understand every businesses to know if something is sustainable or not ..... ffs .... not impressed. Ive already resigned due to my long notice period, starting to get things moving and now Im sitting, potentially unemployed etc.

If the prospective employer wants to employ you, surely he's the one best placed to know, and argue back at the CO, isn't he? I do hope he's willing to.

He would be. He is making some calls today - will see what the result is. I dont want to paste the email from the CO here - too many details for public info - but difficult to explain the situation.

What on earth does 'non-sustainable' mean anyway? And how are NZIS in any position to judge that? http://richarddawkins.net/forum/images/smilies/nonono.gif

This is exactly the issue. We are actually going to take the CO on and indicate to him that he cannot know it all. Not going to let this lie down.
His reasons are 'weak' and are nearly all based on assumption. We believe we can dispel the assumptions- but then again - theres no logic with them it seems.

Quick update on this.
We have completed a business plan for NZIS and also had some chats to those 'in the industry'. It seems that most are appalled at NZIS's stance on this and my skillset seems to be in very short supply in NZ, therefore they do not understand at all why NZIS would stand in the way of this. There is a meeting setup for later this week and a full response, perhaps including a certain 'high and mighty' person's support will be with NZIS later this week.
