Hi,

We have been in Auckland 3 weeks now. Been in my job for 2 weeks and we have been shopping for food a couple of times.

But does anyone who lives in Auckland know the best places to shop for food? We have tried Foodtown, pac'n'save and the Warehouse in Slyvia park!

Does anyone know where I can buy mince, chicken etc in bulk at cheaper prices than the supermarkets?

Thanks for any replies,

Lisa and Paul

Meat deals can usually be found at either a Mad Butcher or an Aussie Butcher. Or even any local butchers actually can work out cheaper than supermarket stuff.

If you are into ethnic foods have a wander up to Sandringham, lots of asian and such shops there... think there was a french one I heard about too.

There really doesnt seem to be any "best" place to shop its kind of a case of your own personal preference and what you find the cheapest for what you generally buy.. its all a bit trial and error, but in general I find either Countdown or Pak N save to be cheapest...
