Just wondering if anyone has any idea how long it realy takes to get police checks back?
West mercia have said 4-6 weeks, is it usualy that long?
Ive also got to get one from scotland, they say 3-4.
Has anyone had any experience with either WEST MERCIA or STRATHCLYDE POLICE? , any info would be good. :P
thanks, craig&liz

I think with anything like this it is variable depending on the work load the police in that area have at that time.

Surrey Police quoted aprox. 40 days, but ours were back in fifteen. I think Veronica has hit the nail on the head, it just depends how busy they are.

Wiltshire police = 3 or 4 days. A friend dropped off the necessary ID at Chippenham police station (where the Wiltshire something-or-other data office is based) at the end of one week and we got the forms back early the following week.
