Hi everyone

We had our xrays 2 weeks ago ( chose bristol as £55.00 compared to Bath £95.00 ) wish I had not as had to go back the next day and have a repeat - they thought they saw something on the film ( scared me to death - other half had me in the box ! ) and then all was ok !!!!!!

now we had our medicals in Bath as Bristol fully booked for 3 weeks at the time of booking . Just got a phone call more abnormalities on mine . Shows I am anaemic - quite low ( do not feel it ) will get it checked tomorrow at work ! I wish we had never started this process !!!!!!

Does anyone know if

1 I can get an extension to my ITA due to this - need to post it you see ?

2 Will immigration be bothered about this

I must say I am very surprised as during 3 pregnancies no problems at all

On a better note just got a quote from golden arrowe for dog _ good quote

so pleased with that if we ever get to use them that is !!!!!!!!

sorry to offload - hubby not aware - too much stress with Xray !!!!!!! I spooked him into believing it was something dreadful ( too much knowledge is not a good thing )

off to find some dark choc to bring up those iron stores for tomorrow

:no

Not sure how INZ look on anaemia but it is not a long term condition. More women are prone to it - mainly due to 'womens' things causing more blood loss each month. My understanding is that they are looking for things that may have a cost impact on their health service - anaemia is not one of them. I used to suffer greatly until I had it all ripped out. I just ate a healthy diet (kind of:roll) and took multi vitamin & iron supplements daily. Don't worry - easily sorted and then you will be ready to post off that huge bundle of papers :yes

thanks
just been to sainsburys bought healthy food , vit pills and ferrous sulphate - pharmasist looked at me a bit strange and asked if I had taken it before - nop I said but my iron is 9.4 and I am a midwife - happily handed it over - will get work to double check tomorrow - was a bit surprised as usually 13.5 and do not feel crap ( would expect to given the drop ) its just after the chest xray and have I got lung Ca , I am now wondering if something else is going on apart from my stress levels and probably a crap diet

If you usually run around 13 and you've dropped to 9 I would query the sample and go for a retest before I started worrying (or taking iron tablets for that matter). Can you get someone to do a haemocue on you at work? (oh and where are you a midwife? I've just had a baby in Bristol =)

Hi guys

Had retest taking iron , looking at my diet contacted nz house visa officer said retest before submitting ITA with gp covering letter ( time to chat my gp up again ) Ill get it done next week at work - my colleagues much less painful than panel DR ( usually pass out you see )

Currently working in Frome in hospital and out on the community - we have just moved hospitals which was all very exciting and sad worked in old one for 14 years .

But if we ever get to NZ it would be nice to visualise everyone in the new unit .
