I have found an add for a flatmate for one of these houses. Seems like you get a nice deal for the facilities available.

Anyone know anything about these kinds of places? I only have experience of these types of places in spain

I've been round the Styx Mill Estate and personally found it awful - but then I don't like these gated communities. It has a reputation for being stuck up and full of residents who love to make up rules and regs... just what I've heard. I wouldn't say it was in a great position either for getting in to town and it's near the airport.

We were briefly resident in a gated community in Hamilton. Didn't like it.

Facilities good and handy, but apart from that it was very much as Moorf describes above. Also, virtually all residents were immigrants, it was like some sort of detention centre for the lost and lonely.

thanks guys, I could imagine they would be stuck up and the NAZI type of neighborhood watch people that like to know your business.

I'll keep checking out places.
