Hello from the west country, my name is Wayne, married to Deb and we have three children from 21 to 14.
We have just booked up to go to nz at xmas to have a holiday and to also check out the possibility of emigration.
I have a friend in Auckland who has his own business and we are going to invade his house...the poms are coming!.
I am a bit of an information junky, so any info about nz in general will be very welcome.

Thanx for all the messages and the warm welcome, i am sure you will give me all the info i need...right now i'm sweating on how to get to heathrow on christmas day...no trains & no national coaches....we fly at 8.00pm so maybe will have to go up on xmas eve and stay in a hotel....if anybody has any ideas i would be grateful.

I didn't even know heathrow operated on Xmas day! but yeah the pre-flight hotel sounds like your best option
