Do anyone got UK AND NZ's smoke alarms in their house? and notice any difference between it?
I have notice our UK's is very sensitive to smoke/heat than NZ that our UK's go off few mins before our NZ's went off :exit that is not good with type of houses in NZ isn't????:laugh

I believe you can set up the sensor...
I will check with Mark to see what can be done

It depends on the type of detector. Ionisation detectors tend to be more sensitive in general than optical detectors.
Both are fine (unless one type is so sensitive that it annoys you so much that you remove it - in this case use the other type). A mixture of the two is better.
Maybe check where you have it positioned
Still better to have one and have it annoy you every now and again than not have one at all.

Our UK and NZ was next to each other before we remove NZ's to hallway, So we now got UK's in main areas as most important smoke alarm because it is link to my special alarms system with baby/children alarms, then we put NZ's in the hallway where all bedrooms are, then another alarms in each 3 bedrooms :yes
My OH and I was :confused:on how UK is more sensitive than NZ, so must have different sensors. Or what we thought, because UK's health and safety standard is higher in UK than NZ.:exit
