Just a bit of info. I have just renewed my son's passport a few weeks ago, and have to get the visa's transferred across.
I telephoned NZIS in Hamilton and asked if I could present the application in person etc. I was told that I couldn't do this and had to send the application in by post. I was told which form to use and that it would be completed before we need to fly in a few weeks.
I filled the form in and ticked the boxes to say I wanted to collect the passports in person and pay by EFTPOS when I did so.
So it was a surprise to receive the passports back today with a letter stating that I didn't include the payment! It seemed clear to me on the form that you could pay when you collected the passports, NZIS it seems, think it means you pay first, then collect them later?????
So, anybody who has to do this, beware. Either pay by VISA or bank cheque when you send the application in, or you may find you have to go through the rigmarole I am having to go through!!
